Contemporary Art Society Hosts the Exhibition: "Palestine – Identity, Culture, and Art"

Under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Ambassador Taha Mohammed Abdel Qader, the Palestinian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and with a distinguished presence of numerous ambassadors, diplomats, intellectuals, and artists, the Bahrain Contemporary Art Society inaugurated its cultural and artistic exhibition on Monday evening, October 7.

Titled *Palestine – Identity, Culture, and Art*, this exhibition features the works of 38 artists from the Society and several Palestinian artists residing in Bahrain.
The exhibition is notable for its diversity, showcasing art that highlights the rich aesthetic and cultural heritage of Palestine. Each artist presented their vision and style, emphasizing the proud history of Palestine and its people.
The works span painting, sculpture, ceramics, and visual arts, with 45 pieces in total. The idea behind this exhibition aligns with the anniversary of the events in Gaza and beyond since last October 7, serving as a cultural and humanitarian gesture that reinforces the moral and human bonds between the Bahraini and Palestinian peoples.
This exhibition stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people, who have endured exile since the Nakba of 1947, affirming Bahrain’s commitment to their right of return and the reclamation of their lands from sea to river, with Jerusalem as their historical capital.
His Excellency Ambassador Abdel Qader officially opened the exhibition at 7 PM, accompanied by ambassadors and dignitaries, warmly greeting the participants and admiring their artistic accomplishments.
After the tour, Society President Khalil Al-Madhoun welcomed esteemed guests, ambassadors, artists, and intellectuals, extending his heartfelt gratitude to Ambassador Abdel Qader and the Embassy staff for their patronage and cooperation in making this exhibition a success. He also thanked all participating artists for their remarkable contributions, which captivated everyone present.
Ambassador Abdel Qader then addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of such events in strengthening cultural and diplomatic relations and promoting Palestinian heritage. He highlighted the strong cooperation between Bahrain and Palestine, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, affirming Palestine's rightful place in the pursuit of peace and justice.
At the close, the Society’s President presented the Ambassador with a commemorative artwork by a Society member, and in return, His Excellency gifted the Bahrain Contemporary Art Society a piece by a Palestinian artist, symbolizing mutual respect and shared cultural appreciation.
